4Nice chain, little info
By J. Alves
The chain seems to be nice enough (of course I'll have to use it for a while to be sure how it behaves, how it wears, etc.), looks nice and has a good price. The "little info" in my title refers to the fact that the Amazon web page for the product does not tell whether it comes with a master link for closing the chain (which I assumed it did, since it seems to be common), much less what type of link it is (rivet or spring clip). It does come with the master link, and it is spring clip type. Well, at least with the chain I got. Who knows what might happen next. This type of info is important specially for first time buyers (like me), who are replacing this thing for the first time and don't know exactly what to expect.

Oh, and don't forget to put some RTV silicone over the spring clip (available in your friendly local auto parts store; I got a red one to make it easy to spot the master link for inspection). According to a lot of posts out there on chain replacem ent this is important to avoid the clip coming off! Better safe...
